The university of South Florida is the third largest university in Florida and is located in Tampa. Although it was not established until 1956 the school now has an annual enrollment of over 40,000 students and offers over 225 different programs.
Florida International University located in Miami was opened in 1972. It now has an annual enrollment of over 39,000 students and over 200 degree programs. Florida International was the first university opened in Miami-Dade county.
Florida state university can be found in Tallahassee. FSU opened in 1857 and now offers more than 275 different programs. Florida State has a student enrollment of more than 38,000 students a year and is the fifth largest school in Florida.
